The place was very peaceful. We sat down for dinner around 6 PM. The atmosphere was lovely — right in front of the restaurant there's a large cathedral, and while we were there, a few wedding parties came out. It was truly beautiful to witness.
We had grilled octopus, Caprese salad, and a fried seafood mix. Everything was delicious.

Amazing pasta experience! I tried the pasta alla assassina and it was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked with a rich flavor. The octopus was tender and very well prepared. A great place to enjoy authentic Apulian cuisine! :)

The spaghetti all'assassina is a MUST to order! It may sound simple, just spaghetti and tomato sauce, but it tasted incredible! We went when they just opened in the afternoon so there was no queue. The drinks were really good too! Perfect ratio, they were definitely not stingy on the alcohol.

We had a lovely dinner at La Locanda dell’Elfo. They kindly found us a table outside in a beautiful square with live jazz — magical setting. The service was outstanding: we were served by the cook’s grandson, who made custom changes so we could try the orecchiette with pesto. Dishes were delicious, generous, and beautifully made. And they didn't charge me for this side, nor did they charge me for the aperitvo they brought out either! The casa vinno rosso was very drinkable! Lovely spot outside of the church in the piazza! This cozy little spot had a warm, family feel from the moment we walked in. I had the gnocchi and my wife ordered the cavatelli with seafood—both were absolutely fantastic. The food was fresh, flavorful, and paired beautifully with the wine. It’s a small place, but that just adds to the charm. Delicious food and very friendly personnel. Portions are really big and nourishing - we've took a set of 4 pastas for us two, but it was too much 😅 so we've asked to pack some of our meal to take away. Really worth to visit this place 🙂 Pasta Assassina was really great!

Very pretty and cozy restaurant on a little square just by the church. Magical subtle lighting creates a great atmosphere to enjoy the delicious food. Definitely would recommend typical hand-made Barese pasta, orrecchiete with any sauce.
